David Booth
David is an instructor and regular speaker, leading seminars and sessions focused on website analytics and search & conversion marketing across the U.S. and Canada for audiences ranging from C-level executives to technical implementation teams. As a consultant, David has advised and worked with companies and organizations across North and Central America in web design, technology selection and deployment, web logistics, analytics and metrics tracking, statistical analysis, and online marketing.
David is the author of Google AdWords Essential Training (Lynda.com, 2011), Google Website Optimizer Essential Training (Lynda.com, 2010) and served as a technical editor of Performance Marketing with Google Analytics (Wiley, 2010).
He has been involved in web application development as an engineer and consultant for over 11 years, beginning his career as a Technical Marketing Engineer with Intel Corporation. He also spent two years with the United States Peace Corps developing and deploying websites and web applications to attract grants and international aid for Guatemalan NGOs and local development organizations.
David earned his Master of Business Administration in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Heather Cooan
Heather is an SEM and social media marketing specialist at Cardinal Path - her expertise in business development and online marketing coupled with her love of all things digital gives her a unique perspective in managing traffic acquisition for clients and driving revenue via data based solutions. Heather consults and speaks in the areas of paid search, social media marketing, and analytics.
Heather brings with her vast experience in online marketing, advertising, and consulting, owning and operating several companies along the way. Heather worked very closely with Google in acquiring new business for the AdWords platform prior to signing on with Cardinal Path. Heather earned her Bachelor's degrees in Anthropology and Philosophy & Ethics at Arizona State University and her M.B.A at the University of Phoenix.
Jen Cykman
Jen is an Account Manager and Web analyst for Cardinal Path, with expertise in SEO and data visualization. Her knowledge of Google Analytics, Next Analytics & Microsoft Excel helps clients find insights, develop efficient and actionable reports, and take action to optimize their marketing efforts. In addition to reporting and dashboard creation, she has consulted on audits and implementations of Google Analytics.
Prior to Cardinal Path, Jen spent her time working in the recruitment marketing industry as an Account Manager, Project Manager, and SEO Analyst. Extensive sales training helps her keep clients focused on increased revenue and exposure through the full spectrum of marketing practices. Jen earned her Master's degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University, and a Bachelor's degree in Music and Theater from St. Olaf College.
David Eckman
Dave is a Senior Partner and analytics consultant at Cardinal Path. Dave has presented and in addition to leading Google Seminars for Success events, he has delivered training for many organizations and events including Visa Canada, the Internet Marketing Conference 2009, 2010, Adobe's Omniture Summit 2011, and many other webinars and events.
Dave's passion for all things technological has led him to forge a successful career in web performance optimization. A combination of education and 15 years of experience allows Dave to oversee efficient and cost-effective solutions for clients, while establishing lasting relationships through exceptional customer service.
Throughout his career, Dave has kept the company apace with advances in the industry and with technology as a whole. He has been responsible for managing a wide variety of projects with clients such as Electronic Arts, Trader, Visa, and YouTube.
Julie Ferrara-Brown
As a consultant and chief statistician for Cardinal Path, Julie works with clients in the areas of web analytics, paid search, and conversion marketing. With a specialization in design of experiments and statistical analysis, Julie has helped hundreds of clients design, launch and analyze statistical conversion marketing experiments to improve their conversion rates and bottom lines.
As an instructor, Julie has led corporate and public trainings across North America, teaching participants not only how to design and execute statistically valid and useful experiments, but also in the types of conversion marketing best practices and concepts that tend to resonate well with website visitors.
Julie began her career in the technology industry as a statistician with Intel Corporation. She earned a B.S. in Statistics and Marketing as well as a M.S. in Statistics from the University of Tennessee.
Stéphane Hamel
With over twenty years experience empowering individuals and organizations to analyze and optimize their online channels, Stéphane has cemented his position as a leading voice for online analytics.
A frequent speaker at conferences, such as the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit, and a long time member of both the Web Analytics Association and International Institute of Business Analysis, he is als the creator of the Online Analytics Maturity Model; founder of the WASP: Web Analytics Solution Profiler and gaAddons: Google Analytics addons; creator of concepts such as Just-In-Time Tagging; holder of the WAALTER (Web Analytics Association Leadership and Technical Excellence Recognition) Award; and was among the first to receive the Certified Web Analyst title.
Stéphane holds an MBA in eBusiness from Laval University (Québec City) where he teaches a graduate class on web analytics. He also lectures the Award of Achievement in Web Analytics and Fundamentals of Business Analysis classes at the University of British Columbia. He is currently Director of Strategic Services at Cardinal Path, where his responsibilities include creating innovative company-wide solutions and digital measurement strategies to deliver maximum value and insight for Cardinal Path clients.
Anastasia Holdren
Stasia is an instructor and regular speaker, leading seminars and sessions focused on Google AdWords, search marketing and Google products across the U.S. and Canada for audiences ranging from novice to Fortune 100 marketing teams. Stasia is one of two Authorized AdWords Seminar Leaders. Working with Google, she piloted the Seminars for Success program in 2006. Since then, she has trained thousands of advertisers around the world. She is also the author of Google AdWords (pending, O'Reilly Media, Inc., 2011)
Stasia's Internet technology career began in 1998, at a Boston-area Internet Service Provider. She went on to work for The Boston Globe's website Boston.com and then an interactive agency. Stasia managed the interactive departments for two publishing companies, and was senior vice president for Sitening, the information technology company that created Raven Internet Marketing Tools.
Stasia earned degrees in English Literature and Journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
John Hossack
For more than 9 years John Hossack has been consulting with and training companies both large and small to help them improve the performance of their online channels. John's passions and much of his time are spent focusing on web analytics, search engine marketing, usability, and conversion testing with the goal of improving user experience and business conversion rates. John has presented at the eMetrics Summit in Toronto 2008, SMX Analytics Toronto 2009 and 2010, CMA eCommerce conference 2009, Conversion Conference San Jose 2010, Web Analytics Association events, spoken at and MC'ed the Internet Marketing Conference 2008, 2009, and 2010 in Vancouver and has conducted numerous webinars including the American Marketing Association.
John is currently a Founding and Senior Partner at Cardinal Path, the result of a merger between three of the industry's top firms: PublicInsite, VKI Studios, and WebShare. With offices across the U.S. and Canada and an impressive team of thought leaders, authors, speakers and top business consultants, CArdinal Path helps its clients achieve success with their online marketing strategies. John has a BSc in Economics from the University of Victoria and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Nick Iyengar
Nick is a senior account manager and web analyst at Cardinal Path with an extensive background in deploying and leveraging Google Analytics to improve the performance of online marketing campaigns. He brings a passion for data analysis and advanced web analytics techniques to help marketers continually monitor and improve their results.
Nick has instructed both public and corporate audiences large and small, and leads participants through the process of proper data collection and more importantly, data analysis with the objective of finding actionable insights that can improve marketing goals.
Prior to joining Cardinal Path, Nick spent 3+ years at Google, where he managed tens of millions of dollars in ad spend for top-tier clients. Nick also led Google's "Analytics Guru" team for the Mountain View, CA headquarters, applying web analytics and analysis techniques to improve campaigns for top AdWords advertisers. He holds a B.A. in Government from Connecticut College.
Brian Katz
Brian Katz has been developing database reporting applications since the early 90's and began specialising as a development Database Administrator and Business Information consultant in 2004. Brian joined Cardinal Path as a DBA in 2006 and, with his BI background, was brought into the Web Analytics Group, where he offers clients his experience and expertise as a certified Omniture SiteCatalyst Web Analytics and Google Analytics consultant.
Brian has successfully completed many SiteCatalyst and Google Analytics implementations taking on Business Requirements Discovery, Application Design, Implementation, Training and Analysis. Clients include Microsoft, Electronic Arts, PR Web, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, Visa, bodog, BCIT, Dalhousie University and Mountain Equipment Co-op.
Brian teaches Web Analytics at Seminars For Success and Langara College, is designated a Top Contributor by Google on the Google Analytics Support Forum and founded the Vancouver Web Analytics Meetup Group.
Corey Koberg
Corey is a consultant and speaker in the field of search engine and online marketing, and is a regular instructor of web analytics, pay per click management, and other Internet marketing courses and webinars.
Corey holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois and has been involved in Internet related engineering and consulting for over 14 years, beginning his career in the labs that developed the world's first web browser. After working for Intel, Compaq, and Qualcomm, Corey has been instrumental in helping companies find and employ a scientific, results-oriented, professional approach to the web analytics and search marketing.
Corey is the author of Google Analytics Essential Training (Lynda.com, 2010) and served as a technical editor of Performance Marketing with Google Analytics (Wiley, 2010).
He brings a wealth of experience in online marketing and website analytics, and has worked with companies large and small to implement and leverage Google Analytics to drive the bottom line.
Alex Langshur
Alex is co-founder and Senior Partner at Cardinal Path, a digital intelligence (web analytics, search optimization and marketing, UX) consulting firm. He is passionate about helping clients understand the meaning and business value within the numbers, and drawing clear, concise and compelling stories about how clients, stakeholders and the public engage with organizations via the sum of their online channels (social, mobile, email & web). Alex is the past-President and Director Emeritus of the Web Analytics Association.
Alex loves to teach: he has taught courses on web analytics, Google Analytics, search optimization and marketing for the Web Analytics Association (WAA) Base Camp, the US government's Webmanager University, Marcus Evans International and many private training sessions for companies. He is currently a lecturer on web analytics for the University of British Columbia, has frequently published in journals and magazines on digital measurement & marketing, and has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences around the world.
Alex lives in Boston (Go Sox!) with his wife, two sons and golden retriever.
Ken Moss
Ken is an instructor and account manager for Cardinal Path. With over eight years experience working in the online marketing industry, Ken specializes in both paid search marketing and search engine optimization. Ken has provided his clients with the strategy and analysis to identify opportunities, guiding them through the process of maximizing their website's performance.
Ken instructs Google's Seminars for Success AdWords classes throughout Canada and the US. He enjoys helping participants understand the techniques involved in creating successful search engine marketing campaigns.
Ben Myers
Ben is a web analyst and online marketing specialist based in Ottawa, Ontario. He has worked with small- and medium-size businesses to help them improve their online marketing using Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other digital strategies.
A writer and marketer at heart, Ben attempts to translate online data into personal descriptions of how people act while online. As a consultant at Cardinal Path, Ben works to explain the causes and effects of changes to websites and online campaigns.
Ben was a speaker at the 2011 Social Capital social media conference in Ottawa where he explained the value of social media for conversion and true business value.

Dave specializes in local and paid search marketing, and has worked with organizations large and small, focusing on helping clients maximize their return on their online investments.
Leveraging highly effective programs to attract visitors through both organic and paid sources, Dave is a web analytics expert and works to provide not only measurement, but conversion marketing and statistical experimentation to turn visitors into monetized customers.
Dave has spent over 12 years in the high-technology industry, and was a Senior Technical Project Manager at Intel Corporation prior to joining Cardinal Path. Dave earned his Masters and Bachelors degrees in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Scott Shannon
As a Senior Analyst and Google Analytics Certified Seminar Leader, Scott leads the e-Commerce analytics and data mining practices for Cardinal Path, a Google AdWords, Analytics, Website Optimizer and Urchin Certified Partner.
Scott has over 10 years of experience working with clients ranging from the United Way and the Smithsonian to the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health.
Scott holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree (MIS) from the University of Calgary, and has trained hundreds of people in Google Analytics through conferences, events and corporate trainings as well as the official Google Seminars for Success program.
